Description

Second cut at an image of the Southern Pinwheel Galaxy also known as M83 is a face-on spiral galaxy 15million light-years from Earth, and is located within the constellation Hydra. Taken as 24 fifteen minute exposures, six each for LRGB for a total of 240 minutes imaging over a few nights about 4/10/22   Captured by staff at the iTelescope observatory in Siding Spring Observatory in Coonabarabran, New South Wales, Australia using a  Planewave 20" reflector telescope and a FLI PL09000 camera.  Data downloaded from iTelescope and then processed with Pixinsight and Apple edit.
